Too hot to cook? I know it is in my house! It’s been near 100 everyday this last week, and there doesn’t appear to be a break coming. I love to cook, but even I don’t feel like making much of anything in this weather. Which is why I compiled a list of my favorite no-oven dinners to help get you (and me!) through July!
I never quite feel like I’ve had a good meal unless I have a hot one, so these meals use either the slow-cooker, rice cooker, or the grill to give you that satisfied feeling without heating up the house.
What better way to keep the house cool than to take the cooking outside! This time of year is perfect for grilling, and I have several favorites to share. To keep things cool, serve your grilling with a salad or some veggies steamed in the microwave!
My slow-cooker is my best friend during these hot months. There’s such a wide variety of food you can make, and the time and energy requirement is so low – as is the amount of heat it creates. Add in the rice cooker, and you’ve got it made (dinner, that is). They’re the perfect pair for July!
And there you have it! These no-oven dinners are what I’ll be serving my family for the next little bit. What’s your go-to recipe when you don’t want to heat up the house? Leave a comment and let us know!
