Toilet Paper Roll Pillow Boxes

Pillow Boxes | Homan at Home

For Valentine’s, Alex made everyone salt dough thumbprint hearts. I needed a cute way to package them, and a quick Pinterest search turned up a variety of takes on using old toilet paper tubes to make cute gift wrapping. I took stock of my materials, and created my own version. I used scrapbook paper to cover up the fact that I was using old toilet paper rolls, then tied them off with ribbon and twine to create a couple different looks.

You could also paint the tubes, use construction or wrapping paper, and add neat little gift tags. Your imagination is the only limit with this project!

  • Materials

  • toilet paper tube
  • scrapbook or wrapping paper
  • glue stick
  • hot glue gun
  • twine or ribbon

Instructions

Start by cutting your paper to be the same width as the toilet paper tube. This will be about 4 1/4″ by 6″

Then hot glue the paper across the width of the tube. Use a glue stick to spread glue over the length of the paper. Then roll the paper around the tube by rolling the tube and applying pressure as you roll.

Then make sure the ends of the paper overlap and hot glue the end to the tube. Next, press the sides of the tube down so they overlap slightly.
