Materials

Step-by-Step Tutorial

Start by threading 4 white beads onto the ribbon. Push them to the center of the ribbon.
For the next row, thread a white bead, a black bead, a white bead, another black bead, and finally one last white bead onto one end of the ribbon. Leave the beads near the end of the ribbon.
Take the opposite end of the ribbon and thread it through the beads from the opposite direction.
Pull both ends of the ribbon so that the second row sits snug against the first row.
Repeat those steps and follow the pattern to make all of the remaining rows.
To finish, tie off the ribbon with a double square knot and snip the ends.

Optional Keychain Start

If you want to include a keychain you can add it before the first step.

Start by placing the keychain in the center of the ribbon and tying it in using a square knot.

Then, do the first row of the patten just like all the other rows (criss-crossing the ribbon through the beads and pull it tight). Follow the regular instructions for all the other rows.
