How to Make Easy Jello Popsicles (Less Mess!)
Enjoy flavorful popsicles with less mess with this magical Jello popsicle recipe. Make them in any flavor!

Homemade popsicles are super refreshing on hot summer days, and easy jello popsicles are no exception! You can make these in any of your family’s favorite flavors. You can layer the flavors to make rainbow jello pops, or stick to a single flavor for the perfect frozen treats!
And my favorite part, as a mom of somewhat messy children, is that this popsicles don’t drip. Something about the Jello keeps them from getting drippy quick. While your kid might still get a little sticky, you can avoid at least some of the mess with this easy recipe.
Ingredients
It feels like everyone is obsessed with minimal ingredient foods, and these popsicles use only 3 simple ingredients (2, if you do that trick where you don’t count the water as an ingredient).

- Jello: This is the main ingredient, and the secret to no-drip success. You need one 3 oz box of any flavor regular jello. You can also use sugar-free jello here.
- Sugar: The sugar is there for flavor. You can leave it out if you’d like to reduce the added sugar.
- Water: You will need both boiling and cold water for this, so get out that saucepan!
Equipment
You will need a few kitchen items to make these.

- Popsicle Mold: I use these silicone molds and love them! The fact that you press the wooden sticks through slits in the cover which holds them so they don’t fall over or go wonky is kind of the best. You will need to double the recipe to fill all 10 pops in this mold.
- Popsicle Sticks: Depending on the mold, the sticks may come included. If not, these are the ones I use.
- Mixing Bowl
- Wooden Spoon
- Alternate Option: If you don’t have a popsicle mold, you can make these in little paper cups. Just put the cups on a plate or tray, fill them up, then place a popsicle stick in the center. When you serve them, peel the cup away.

Absolutely! Try combining two flavors for a fun twist, or layer different Jello mixtures by freezing one layer at a time.
They’ll stay fresh for about 1–2 months in the molds or in an airtight container in the freezer.
The popsicles typically take about 4–6 hours to freeze completely, though freezing overnight is best for solid pops.
Boiling water helps fully dissolve the Jello powder and sugar, giving the popsicles the best texture and flavor. Using cold water may result in grainy popsicles.
