Eggless Cookie Dough 3 Ways
UPDATE: There is now a part 2 with two more eggless cookie dough flavors (pumpkin spice and double chocolate chip). Hop on over and check it out!
If you’re like me, one of the hardest parts of being pregnant is remembering not to eat the cookie dough. Who thought that would be so hard? There’s something about unbaked dough that the baked cookie just cannot deliver, and I miss it horribly.
After 5 months of dough deprivation (it’s a girl!!!) I decided to figure out how to make my favorite cookie recipes eggless. It’s really not that hard – want to know the secret? I just delete anything directly related to baking (i.e. baking soda/powder, that sort of thing), get rid of the eggs, and add either milk or water to make the dough stick together. With those modifications, you can create eggless dough from just about any cookie recipe. I’m working right now to make my double chocolate chip cookie eggless, and then everything will be right with the world π
For now, I’m content with sugar cookie dough (find the recipe for baking here), chocolate chip cookie dough (baking recipe here), and oatmeal cookie dough. For all my pregnant ladies (and allergy folks, and anyone who doesn’t want to risk salmonella), each recipe is below.

I’m a dough eater too. There’s just something about it…
The chocolate chip looks delish! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping by!
Do you know if any of these could work for baking still? My little one is allergic to eggs!
I’ve never tried these ones baked as is. I would think they’d be too flat without the egg. If you’re looking for some good recipes, you might try this list: http://www.egglesscooking.com/eggless-baking-recipes/eggless-cookies/. This lady has tested all of them and says they turn out great!
Peanut butter!!!!! The other look amazing too!!!
How could I forget peanut butter?! Already working on it π
Does the cookie dough need to be refrigerated? Or is it better left at room temp?
It should be refrigerated if you don’t plan to eat it right away π
I just made the oatmeal one and itβs amazing! I didnβt have any raisins at home so threw in some mini chocolate chips and it worked great.
I bet chocolate chips would be so good! I’m glad you enjoyed it π
For the chocolate chip cookie dough, the recipe calls for 2 tsp granulated sugar and 1 tsp brown sugar. Did you mean tbsp? Mine tasted like flour and I’m not sure why.
Yes! Thank you for pointing that out!!!!!!
I really wanted to make cookie dough but didnβt have any eggs so I was excited to find your post! So excited that I tried all 3 doughs! πΆ The oatmeal is my favorite! Iβm going to try with mini chocolate chips next time, since I love oatmeal choc chip cookie dough. Thank you for sharing! They are so easy and the serving size is great for just me.
You tried all three! That makes me so happy π I’m glad you liked the recipes – I’m an oatmeal lover too!
