Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies

Light and buttery shortbread dipped in melted chocolate and rolled in sprinkles.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 ½ cups flour

Instructions

  • Whip butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  • Add flour and mix. Dough will be very crumbly.
  • Turn dough out onto floured surface. Knead until smooth.
  • Roll out dough and cut into shapes. Then place shapes on greased or lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 300° for 20-25 minutes.
  • Melt chocolate by microwaving in 30 second bursts, stirring in between.
  • Dip cooled cookies into chocolate and allow to harden.

Notes

Putting your cookies in the fridge will speed up the hardening process.
