Slice apples and lay them in the bottom of a greased pie pan.

Mix together 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.

Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over apples.

In a mixing bowl, beat together 2 eggs.

Mix in flour, and 1/2 cup sugar.

Melt butter, then mix into batter.

Pour batter over apples taking care to cover them.

Bake at 300° for 1 hour. Cake is done when apples are tender and bubbly and cake is golden on top.
