Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies
Light and buttery shortbread dipped in melted chocolate and rolled in sprinkles.
Ingredients
- 1 bag chocolate chips
- 1 cup butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 ½ cups flour
Instructions
- Whip butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Add flour and mix. Dough will be very crumbly.
- Turn dough out onto floured surface. Knead until smooth.
- Roll out dough and cut into shapes. Then place shapes on greased or lined cookie sheet.
- Bake at 300° for 20-25 minutes.
- Melt chocolate by microwaving in 30 second bursts, stirring in between.
- Dip cooled cookies into chocolate and allow to harden.
Notes
Putting your cookies in the fridge will speed up the hardening process.
