Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls with Brown Sugar Glaze

Buttery filling, light pumpkin bread, and sweet brown sugar glaze

Ingredients

Pumpkin Bread

  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 envelope yeast
  • ¾ cup pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 ½ cups bread flour

Filling

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Brown Sugar Glaze

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • In the microwave, melt 2 Tbsp butter. Add milk and microwave for 30 seconds, or until temperature reaches 100°-110°.
  • Pour milk and butter into mixing bowl. Add yeast and allow yeast to proof for 5 minutes.
  • Add pumpkin and salt and mix together. Mix in flour 1/2 cup at a time until the dough cleans itself from the side of the bowl.
  • Use dough hook attachment to knead dough for 6-8 minutes.
  • Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover and allow to rise for 1 hr.
  • Punch dough down and roll into a rectangle.
  • Melt butter for filling. Spread butter on dough.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle over dough.
  • Roll dough, then cut.
  • Place cut rolls into greased 13x9.
  • Allow dough to rise for 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes.
  • Melt butter for glaze. Add brown sugar and stir until everything is melted.
  • Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Stir together.
  • Pour over cinnamon rolls after they have finished baking.
