Ingredients

Brownie Base

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 10 tbsp cocoa
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups flour
  • dash of salt

Chocolate Marble

  • 8 ounces semisweet bakers chocolate or chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp shortening

Peanut Butter Marble

  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ Tbsp shortening

Instructions

Brownie Base

  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Stir in sugar and cocoa.
  • Pour butter mixture in mixing bowl. Add eggs, flour and salt and mix until batter is smooth.
  • Pour into greased 13x9 baking pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Marbling

  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate and shortening together. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat until chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • In another microwave safe bowl, melt peanut butter and shortening together using same method as for chocolate.
  • Pour melted chocolate over brownies and smooth out.
  • Pour melted peanut butter in lines over brownies. Use a clean knife to draw lines across the peanut butter and chocolate to achieve the marbling effect.
  • Allow marbling to set completely before serving.

Notes

Note:
You can speed up how long it take the marbling to set by placing the brownies in the fridge.
This technique can also be done with white chocolate or caramel instead of peanut butter. Just use the same melting method as for the chocolate.
