Easy Christmas Sugar Cookie Fudge (3 ingredients!)

This creamy fudge tastes like squares of sugar cookie dough! You can toss this together in minutes, then enjoy on cookie plates or at your next holiday party.

Christmas Cookie Dough Fudge

Let me introduce you to one of my holiday favorites: sugar cookie dough fudge. It’s one of those recipes that appears gourmet and is deceptively easy (much like this chocolate fudge, or these coconut snowball truffles). The sugar cookie flavor is a unique addition to your favorite treats this holiday season.

Homemade fudge is a hallmark of the season, and this Christmas cookie fudge recipe needs to make your rotation. It combines 3 simple ingredients with easy steps to make fudge that tastes like creamy sugar cookie dough. It’s the perfect sweet treat this Christmas time!

Ingredients

You only need 3 basic ingredients to make this Christmas cookie fudge!

Fudge Ingredients
  • White Chocolate Chips: These provide the structure of the fudge — don’t sub these.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk: You can use a fat-free or low-fat version of this.
  • Sugar Cookie Mix: For this recipe, you’ll need a bag of sugar cookie dough mix. I used the one from Betty Crocker, but any store-bought mix will work.
  • Sprinkles (optional): You can use any sprinkles you’d like to make this festive! It doesn’t even have to be Christmas sprinkles — you can do this with any holiday sprinkles.

Important Tip

Did you know that raw flour is actually a higher risk for e. coli and salmonella poisoning? I recommend heat treating your sugar cookie mix before using it in the fudge. This post shows you how, and you can bake the whole mix just like you would do flour to make it safe.

Instructions

This Christmas cookie fudge recipe is made with just a few simple steps — most of the time is in the setting. You can literally do this with about 5 minutes of hands-on time!

Step 1 | Melt the Chips

In a large, microwave-safe bowl, dump your white chocolate chips. Melt them by microwaving in 30 second bursts. In between each burst, stir the chips with a wooden spoon. Keep going until the chips have melted completely and the mixture is smooth when you stir it. For best results, make sure not to over-microwave the chips.

Step 2 | Mix the Fudge

To the bowl, add the rest of the ingredients: sweetened condensed milk and the sugar cookie dough mix. Stir until the whole thing is well combined.

The fudge mixture will be slightly grainy from the cookie mix. I’ll admit, that worried me when I first made this, but kitchen magic somehow gets rid of this to create that creamy texture during the setting phase. Go figure!

Step 3 | Set

Prepare a 9×9 square pan by lining it with parchment paper or wax paper. Scoop your fudge into the prepared pan, then press it into the corners and to the edges. Use a spatula to smooth it out.

Spread and ready to set

Pop your fudge into the fridge for about 30 minutes, or leave it to set on the counter for a couple of hours.

Step 4 | Decorate and Enjoy

Once the fudge is set, remove it from the baking dish.

Then, you can add the sprinkles to the top of the fudge and use a sharp knife to cut the fudge into 1 inch squares. You get about 36 squares from one batch of fudge.

Once that’s done, you can put it on cookie plates, bag or box it as a great edible gift, or take it to a Christmas party. Or eat all that decadent fudge yourself. We won’t judge.

You can store your leftover fudge (if you have any!) in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week.
