These were actually supposed to be a totally different craft, which completely bombed. Did not work at all.

My son was next to me, playing with stickers, and wanted to stick his stickers on the remains of my failed crafting attempts. He stuck his name on there, and thus was this craft born. All credit goes to the 4 year old, because I would have thrown all of the stuff out.

Anyway, these are the dang easiest craft. You are literally just sticking stickers to a popsicle stick. I did my kid’s names, because we are working on that skill with our preschooler, but you could really do anything. Holiday stickers lying around? Holiday bookmarks. Paw Patrol stickers lying around? Paw Patrol bookmarks. PJ Masks? Transformers? My Little Pony? Boom. Bookmarks. I can’t have the only house slowly being taken over by branded stickers. Here’s a place to use them.

popsicle stick (I like the jumbo size)

paint or Sharpies

stickers

Modge Podge

Start by painting the popsicle sticks. You could also give your kiddo some Sharpies and let them go to town. Just don’t use regular markers, or the color will rub off all over the books and little fingers.

When the sticks are dry on both sides, stick your stickers to them any way you like.

My stickers weren’t very sticky (see the A and the T in Faith?), so I added a layer of Modge Podge to make sure they didn’t come off. My daughter is especially fond of pulling stickers off things and sticking them to inappropriate places, so this was very important to me. Both kids have been using their bookmarks as toys for a week or so now, and the stickers are still firmly in place, so I’m declaring it a success!

Anyway, that’s the entire thing. Let your sticks dry, and they’re ready to mark your spot!

Button Bookmarks

Summer Fun Bookmarks

Corner Bookmarks

Name Bookmarks, Step-by-step
