My two year old is, and he absolutely loves it &#8211; we&#8217;ve ended up reading something like 8 hours in the last three weeks. That&#8217;s a lot of times through <em>Chicka Chicka Boom Boom<\/em> and <em>The Very Hungry Caterpillar<\/em>, let me tell you \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7911\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/homanathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Bookmarks-8.jpg?resize=900%2C600&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Summer Fun Popsicle Stick Bookmarks | Homan at Home\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\"  data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Anyway, I think reading is more fun with a fun bookmark, so I designed these summer fun reading bookmarks. There&#8217;s four designs: a sun, a watermelon, a flip flop, and a beachball. They&#8217;re made from fun foam, popsicle sticks, and glue, so it&#8217;s a project even a pretty little kiddo can make. If they can glue and cut, then this project&#8217;s for them!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">All you need is the aforementioned foam, popsicle sticks, and glue, along with some paint, scissors, <a href=\"https:\/\/homanathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Summer-Templates.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this hand-dandy template<\/a>, and something to trace with.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7906\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/homanathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Bookmarks-2.jpg?resize=900%2C598&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Summer Fun Popsicle Stick Bookmarks | Homan at Home\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\"  data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">To make the bookmarks, start by painting your sticks. You can also color on them with Sharpies, or wrap them in washi tape, if painting&#8217;s not your thing. And it&#8217;s not the worst thing in the world to leave them undecorated at all &#8211; I just happen to like the burst of color the paint gives them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7905\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/homanathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Bookmarks-1.jpg?resize=900%2C598&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Summer Fun Popsicle Stick Bookmarks | Homan at Home\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\"  data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">While the sticks are drying, cut out the <a href=\"https:\/\/homanathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Summer-Templates.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">templates<\/a>, then trace them onto the fun foam you&#8217;ll be using. I use a pen for tracing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7907\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/homanathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Bookmarks-3.jpg?resize=900%2C598&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Summer Fun Popsicle Stick Bookmarks | Homan at Home\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\"  data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Cut out the shapes, then glue them together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7908\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/homanathome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Bookmarks-4.jpg?resize=900%2C598&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Summer Fun Popsicle Stick Bookmarks | Homan at Home\" width=\"900\" height=\"598\"  data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Once you&#8217;ve got your shapes glued, all that&#8217;s left is to glue them to the stick.
