I think this is one of Alex’s favorite activities ever. It is nearly impossible to get him out of the tub even long after the paint is gone from his ice cube tray. He sits there with his little paint brush chanting, “Paint, paint, paint,” while smearing the paint already on the walls all over. And I have no problem with this. Little does he know, but he’s actually washing himself, and cleaning the tub. Total win!

These bathtub paints are perfect for little kids – they’re completely washable and do not stain, they don’t hurt little eyes, the colors come out bright and fun, and they’re secretly soap. That’s right. There are only three ingredients in these, and the main one is clear, tear-free baby soap. Cornstarch and food coloring rounds out the list to make this a super simple paint recipe.

Oh, and have I mentioned how quick you can throw it together? I did the full tray you see in the pictures this morning in about 5 minutes. Just mix the corn starch and soap, pour it into the tray, add a drop of food coloring, and swirl to mix. That’s it. By the time Alex was done eating breakfast, he had a whole color pallet to work with 🙂

The other thing I love about these is that when Alex is done painting, all I have to do is turn on the shower and the whole thing washes away. Easiest clean up ever!
