We have no snow. It’s the middle of January, and, except for a very short-lived snowstorm at the end of December, there has been nothing. Aside from the obvious drought issues this will probably cause in the summer, my kids have been horribly disappointed. One snowman is all we’ve eked out this year. So I supposed it’s no surprise that they were thrilled by the idea of snow dough.

This stuff is fun to play with. It’s got a silky texture that’s fun to mash in your hands. It squishes together well to make elaborated snow scenes, and it leaves your hands moisturized when you’re done playing. It is slightly messy to make — make sure you mix it together in a much larger bowl then you think you need.

We also added white glitter to this batch, which made it gleam like fresh fallen snow. Then, the kids smushed and rolled and otherwise entertained themselves with the indoor snow.
