My husband got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers for Valentine’s Day. He included my favorite – pink roses. The one sad thing about real flowers, though, is they wilt, and pretty quickly too. My lovely flowers only lasted about two weeks before I finally decided to consign them to the trash. However, my Pinterest feed turned up a tutorial on using wilted roses to make a variety of beauty products. I started with the sugar scrub since it looked super easy.

And it is. All you have to do is put your three ingredients (all of them super common – they’re probably sitting on your pantry shelves right now!) into a food processor or blender and pulse until you get the consistency you like. There could not be an easier project. Seriously.

And the scrub works great! It has a beautiful scent and color from the roses, and the oil and sugar mixture leaves your hands feeling amazingly soft. This would make a great gift, especially for Mothers’ Day!
