Just in time for Valentines! If you want a dessert that looks and tastes gourmet, but really only takes a few minutes, this your recipe.

I’m a big mousse fan – mostly chocolate, which I make with a variety of different types of chocolate. This time, though, I wanted a pink recipe for Valentines. There’s nothing in my cupboard right now, and with February being a tight month, I was stuck with only what I had lying around.

So I grabbed my bag of frozen strawberries and added in the extra whipping cream I got when Walmart substituted my grocery pickup order (Isn’t that the greatest? 16 extra oz for free!). And voila! I ended up with a lovely, light pink mousse with a gorgeous fresh strawberry taste.

I do love that this can be made with frozen strawberries. I’m a big fan of cheap, and strawberries in February can cost a pretty penny, so having a frozen option that tastes super fresh is a big point in favor of this recipe. Another note: I haven’t tried it, but I see no reason why this wouldn’t work with other berries. Raspberry and blueberry are what I’m thinking. If you give it a try, leave a comment below and let me know how it went!
