Make cute thumbprint wreath ornaments out of salt dough! Surround your child's picture with their fingerprints.

Start by collecting your ingredients for the salt dough -- flour, salt, and water.

Mix the dry ingredients together.

Add the water a little at a time, stirring until you get a shaggy dough.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth.

Add food coloring, if desired, and knead until the color is evenly distributed.

Roll the dough out to 1/4", then cut into two concentric circles.

Let the kids press their thumbs into the ring. Also use a straw to punch a hole in the top.

Bake for 3 hours at 250° to harden, then allow the wreaths to cool. Trim the pictures to fit and hot glue them to the back of the wreath.

Add any decorations you'd like, then tie a ribbon at the top as a hanger.
