What’s this all about?
About 2 months ago, my husband and I joined a 6 week fitness challenge at a local gym. It was completely a whim, and I didn’t expect to see much come from it.
I was wrong.
At the end of the 6 weeks, I had lost nearly 20 lbs of fat, and gained 10 lbs of muscle. 3 body fat percentage points gone! My husband lost around 25 lbs, and I’m not sure what his numbers were for the muscle gain, but he looks amazing.
Dustin and I had been exercising like crazy for the last year with little to no results, so what was the difference this time?
I am convinced it was the diet. Unlike other diets we’d tried, the guidelines we were given allowed for a lot of latitude and creativity. For the first time, we were able to make foods we liked, and stick to our commitments.
