2017 is coming to an end in just a few days, so we figured we’d review the highlights of this past year. In our home, we’ve had some big things happen – we brought home a lovely little baby girl, Dustin graduated with his Bachelors and got a job he’s very excited for, and our time in Cache Valley came to a close as we started a new adventure elsewhere. As for the blog, we’ve been included in articles in the Huffpost, Buzzfeed, feedfeed, and Pure Wow, along with many, many others. Our little community is growing, and we are thrilled to have spent another year with you!
So, in order from first to last, here are the posts you loved the most this year:
This is the perennial favorite and far and away the most popular recipe on the site. And why not? Cut up a couple cakes and end up with an adorable bunny – sounds like a good deal!
The sugar cookie dough seems to be the star of this post – based on the Pinterest comments. My favorite is actually the oatmeal, go figure 🙂
I am soooo glad this one made the top ten, since it’s one of my favorite recipes of all time. I speak from experience when I say this frosting goes well on just about anything – cake, cookies, brownies.
Here’s one that took off in the last month. Sugar cookie dough truffles melt in your mouth, and the white color looks so Christmas-y!
This recipe has just a few ingredients, but the result is a gorgeously juicy and tangy dessert. It’s good any time of year!
If you’re looking for an impressive but easy dinner, then this one’s for you. A couple thousand people can’t be wrong!
Dustin’s pretty proud of this one. His simple stir fry recipe has been a favorite two years in a row. It’s healthy, packed with protein, and full of flavor!
Apparently cut-up cakes are a major favorite around here, as this lovely little bat is the third one to make the top ten. That dark chocolate frosting is well worth it!
I don’t know how many of you have actually been to the Roadhouse, but these cookies have been shared far and wide. Just doing my best to represent Alaska, you know?
So if you’re still out there reading, I would love it if you would take a moment to answer a very brief (less than 2 minutes!) survey about what you’d like to see in the new year. I love creating content for you, so let me know what you’d enjoy reading!
