With Valentine’s coming up, I’ve been making all the heart-shaped crafts I spent all year pinning. This one was a tutorial from Make My Day Creative for heart strings. The suggestion was to use them for a garland, but I thought they would make a cute headband. I was right!
I loved making this project for two reasons. One, I like making things I can show off and wear, and two, this is just about the easiest crochet project I’ve ever made. It’s two rows of single crochet. That’s it. Two rows. One stitch. A whole lotta cute!
Materials
First, determine how long you want to make your string of hearts. I made mine 53 chains long (that’s 13 hearts) and used 4-ply yarn and a G hook. This left enough room for a small amount of elastic at the end to make the headband stretchy.
Next, follow the pattern here to make yourself a cute little string of hearts!
Once you’ve got your hearts, sew a small piece of elastic between the ends of the string making sure not to twist it.
Voila! You have a cute headband in time for Valentines!
