At the risk of stating the obvious, I’ll say it: The holidays are coming! Which means that rich foods are back in play, folks. And one of my favorite parts of the meal has to be the side dishes. I could eat mashed potatoes and gravy all day, that’s all I’m saying.
Or, green beans caesar. As far as I can tell, this is a lesser known holiday side, but we’ve had the recipe hanging around for a while. It’s actually slightly lighter than the standard green bean casserole, so if you’re looking to lighten up that Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, this recipe might be your new best friend.
The flavor on the green beans is slightly tangy, and the topping adds that distinctive kick from the parmesan. Combined with the crunch of the bread crumbs and the smoothness of butter, these green beans are a dish you definitely want to try 🙂
