Barbecue Ranch Turkey Burgers

This is one of my family’s favorite meals for grilling. The original recipe is for chicken burgers, but I have no idea where to find ground chicken (Is this a thing? Does anyone know where to find it?). We’ve subbed ground turkey for the chicken and the results are absolutely delicious!

    Ingredients
    1. 1 lb ground turkey
    2. 1 egg
    3. 3/4 cup bread crumbs
    4. 1 Tbsp dried onion
    5. 1 tsp seasoned salt
    6. 1 tsp garlic powder
    7. 2 Tbsp barbecue sauce
    8. 4 Tbsp ranch dressing
    Instructions
    1. Using your hands, mix all ingredients together. You may need to add more or less bread crumbs in order to get the consistency right.
    2. Form into patties.
    3. Bake or grill at 400° for 10-15 minutes or until the internal temperature is at least 165°.

Instructions

Start by mixing the ingredients together. I always have to use my hands, which is a little gooshy, but the result is worth it!

Then, split the turkey into 8 balls. Use your hands to flatten these balls to roughly the same thickness.

It was raining out, so I baked these, but you can also grill them. If you choose to bake, you’ll need to cook them for about 15 minutes at 400°. Halfway though, I like to baste them with a little thinned-out barbecue sauce. Just add water to a small amount of sauce and spread over the patties.

I use a meat thermometer to make sure I’m not giving anyone food poisoning. Make sure your patties all have an internal temperature of at least 165° and then you’re ready to eat!

Looks yummy! I order turkey burgers out all the time, but have never made them at home.
